ANOTHER WONDERFUL YEAR WITH
GOLDMAN SACHS’ COMMUNITY TEAMWORKS PROJECTS

For the seventh consecutive year, Little Shelter welcomed volunteers from city-based firm, Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs is a community oriented company, and as part of their Community Teamworks (CTW) initiative, employees are asked to volunteer one day each year at a non-profit organization. On June 3rd & 6th, volunteers completed the fifth installment of our winding walkway through the cemetery, turning the once dirt trail into a lovely brick path. We welcomed volunteers once more on June 17th and 18th for a landscape beautification & clean up project. Our canine “real life rooms” received a fresh coat of paint, turning a once dreary white into serene blue, creating a calming effect for the animals. The sheds outside of the cattery received a makeover and now blend in with their surroundings, and our food pantry and storage trailers went from a bit of a jumbled mess to neat, clean and organized. Thanks to Goldman Sachs, our grounds look better and better with each passing year, and we very much look forward to hosting their Community Teamworks volunteers again in 2009.
