LITTLE SHELTER WINS FIRST PLACE IN LONG ISLAND PRESS
“BEST OF L.I. 2010” / BEST ANIMAL SHELTER/RESCUE CATEGORY

After an intense period of voting, we are proud to announce that Little Shelter has been voted the Best Animal Shelter / Rescue in the Long Island Press “Best of L.I. 2010” Awards!

Taking first place was no easy task as we had some tough competition, but the readers of the Long Island Press know what an asset Little Shelter is to Long Island and appreciate all that we stand for!  From the care and commitment to the animals we rescue, to our outstanding community programs, to our knowledgeable and dedicated staff and volunteers, Little Shelter goes above and beyond in everything that we do, and voters set out to let everyone know by voting us the WINNER! 

The contest was closely monitored with the utmost of integrity – voting was conducted online through www.longislandpress.com and those that went to the polls could only vote once in each category.  Furthermore, a third party oversaw the voting every step of the way to ensure that the results were true.  It was a contest of the highest class, and one that we are truly honored to win!

Little Shelter would like to thank the readers of the Long Island Press and members of the public for voting us NUMBER ONE!  You’ve confirmed what we already knew – Little Shelter IS the best animal shelter on Long Island!
