Little Shelter currently has the following management positions available: Administrative Volunteer Coordinator Candidates must have experience in animal welfare or a related field. STAFF POSITIONS FULL/PART-TIME VET TECH/TECH ASSISTANT – Duties of this exciting and challenging position include working side-by-side with our vet, diagnostic testing, medicating, maintaining dietary needs, preparing animals for adoption, cleaning and feeding. Must be licensed or have hands on experience and be comfortable handling both dogs and cats. FULL-TIME ADOPTION COUNSELOR: CATTERY/KENNEL DEPTS. – The ideal person for this position will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and some animal knowledge. Duties include screening potential adopters, greeting public, answering phones, paperwork, data entry, showing animals and any other tasks which arise during the day. Must be able to work one weekend day. Retiree’s welcome. OTHER OPENINGS – We currently have full and part-time positions working ‘hands on’ with our dogs and cats. Hands on work includes but is not limited to feeding, cleaning, socializing, training, dog walking and much more! The salary for the above positions is commensurate with experience. Benefits are available after 6 months of continuous full-time employment.
