Sanctuary Dog Adoption All of the sanctuary dogs have lived at Little Shelter for a longer time than normal and have been given Angel status in Little Shelter's Save-an-Angel program. Each dog has his or her own special needs, which makes it necessary that his or her family is willing to provide the love, patience, and commitment to help each of them adjust to their new family. Our sanctuary dogs are all wonderful, loving animals that just need a special someone to make their lives complete. Little Shelter will provide lifetime medical care for all dogs adopted out of the sanctuary under the Save-an-Angel program. In addition, Angel adopters can request training assistance from an experienced shelter behaviorist to help with any initial transition problems or special needs of the animal. If you think your lifestyle matches the needs of one of our Angels, please call Little Shelter at (631) 368-8770 and an adoption counselor will be happy to discuss the program with you.

We spay and neuter all of our animals as soon as is
medically possible. The minimal adoption donation paid upon adoption includes all the
medical procedures that we have done on the animal being adopted, Currently Unavailable for Adoption These dogs are currently unavailable for adoption for medical reasons and
are getting the full-time attention they need at our Sanctuary in upstate
New York.
