We received a call
from a city shelter – they were full and needed our help. While healthy
dogs have little chance of being rescued from kill shelters, Foster had even
less of a chance. The shelter was not equipped to deal with the large mass
on Foster’s abdomen, and if not rescued she would be euthanized. We
answered the call to help, and Foster was brought to Little Shelter. Soon
after arriving Foster underwent surgery to remove an enormous hernia.
Foster’s troubles have not ended there. Old age is catching up with our
girl – she has become very arthritic, is losing her vision and hearing, and
has developed a head tilt. We hate to think of what Foster’s fate would
have been if we hadn’t stepped in. We answered the call – will you
answer the call? If the answer is yes, please click below to make a
generous donation, and help us save others like Foster.

We spay and neuter all of our animals as soon as is
medically possible. The minimal adoption donation paid upon adoption includes all the
medical procedures that we have done on the animal being adopted,
including the spaying and neutering.
