When
we rescued Serena Rose from the town shelter, we didn’t care about her
missing patches of hair, all we knew was that she needed us. To the trained
eye, it was obvious that there was an underlying condition causing the hair
loss, and veterinary tests confirmed what we suspected – Serena Rose was
suffering from a common condition called Cushing’s Disease. Any condition
with the word ‘disease’ following it, strikes fear into the hearts of most
people, and Serena’s chances of being getting out of that shelter alive were
very slim. Once a confirmed diagnosis was made, Serena was started on a
regimen of medication to treat her disease, and given a second chance at
life. Serena Rose will require daily medication for the rest of her life,
but that is a small price to pay for saving the life of such a wonderful
gal. We saved a life – you can save a life too! Help us help

We spay and neuter all of our animals as soon as is
medically possible. The minimal adoption donation paid upon adoption includes all the
medical procedures that we have done on the animal being adopted,
including the spaying and neutering.
